Photo's are a Must at Weddings

Professional Photographers are a MUST at a Wedding!!!!!!
However
They bring a unique and unbiased approach to who is photographed.
I was a photographer for 5 years before I jumped to the other side.  Lol.......
However as a guest, when attending a wedding, you see a lady walking around taking pictures.  As that lady once, I didn't really know the history of family or friends and I didn't know what special bond that someone may have with the Bride or Groom.
So photographers try to look for shots that are touching and go where the action is.

So after the wedding is all done and its been a couple months for the newlyweds, they get there pictures back.  They look as beautiful as you remembered them, but your looking for pics of you and the bride and just hoping your in other pics somewhere.  Its ok everyone does it. lol

Im sure your thinking ok where is she going with this....lol
Well we live in the age of technology!!! Right,  Right!

SO...Im going to just give you my 5 top pics to help a bride and guests take and share photos as they see it, that way you have the wedding day from may different views and angles.
And Brides don't forget your phone even if you have to buy the garter with the pocket attached.
You want pictures from your point of view too.
P.S. Make sure its on Silent!!

Some are paid and some are Free... But remember you get what you pay for.
So Free is sometimes limited.

OK.......Number 1
My first one is right on Facebook, you can start a memory page for your Wedding almost like a wedding website but it can be attached right to your facebook page.  You can add your daily wedding thoughts and share idea's and your progress and people can comment.
Just remember everyone can see it......and they don't have to be accepted in order to post on your page!
This one is FREE!

OK.......Number 2
Everyone knows Instagram not only can you enhance the pictures but you can hash tag your wedding name and date. (#mylastname6/4/13) and all the pics will go in a album.
Have a cute sign on each table or at the sign in table of your hash tag.
Also have the DJ make an announcement to take pictures and remember hash tag it.
This one is FREE!

OK.......Number 3
This is something I ran across when searching the www....lol
Its called Wedding Photo Swap and like the other two sites I mentioned
its just a great way to share your photos.
Setup your gallery and add your photos, remind your friends at your wedding to add their photos.
They keep your photos online for at least 6 months.  So you would have to have them printed or saved somewhere else as well.  However its a nice site to bring them all together.
This one is FREE to Load Pics on Limited time available for Print.

OK......Number 4
Wedding Snap is simular to Instagram in it allows you to enhance your pictures.
Just a few extra bonus features with Wedding Snap is you can make different albums, one for bachelor parties or bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, or divide the wedding up into albums too.
The thing I liked was the 200 free personalized cards.
This is a paid service, which has 3 different pay scales and level of services.
They do have a guarantee of at least 100 Photos in your album or your Money back!
Wedding Snap also has a 2013 Sale right now for 20% off Packages.

OK..... Number 5 and Last but not Least!
When I first heard about WedPics they were charging 99.00, but good news!  They are now FREE!

They have a Super Nice interface online, that its similar to Pintrest, which we all like.  RIGHT!!
They also have a app interface that is similar to Instagram, with filers and the comment ability.
I really like the fact that you can share to all your social media once you put them in albums,
and yes you can have different albums with Wedpics too.
This would be my top pic...lol
(play on words Pick, pic) Ok it wasn't that funny!
These are just my opinions so take the time to investigate and figure out which one is best for you!

Tell me what you think?

Tradition Twists

My goal in 2013 is to blog more!

On my Facebook, I mentioned that there are so many traditions! To the father walking her down the isle, to not seeing the Groom before you walk down the isle, to the lighting of the candle.  To what the ring bearer carries, to what side the Bride and Groom families sets on.  It goes on and on! Traditions are great but there is nothing wrong with taking one tradition and putting a unique twist on it and making it your own!  That will set your wedding apart from all the other wedding in 2013.
These are some of my Favorite Twists.

Who says your Ring Bearer has to carry the Rings?  Have your Flower girl carry the rings.  Who says it has to be carried on a pillow?  Have her carry the Rings on a Family Bible and have her give them to the Groom and then take her place.  With the Rings safely in the Groom's hands, the Ring Bearer can carry a sign that states "Here Comes the Bride"

Who says you have to have the Bride's Family on the Left and the Groom's on the Right?                 I   Have the Bride and Groom's alter in the middle and set out a sign that reads.  "Friends of the Bride.... Friends of the Groom.... Sit Together, there is plenty of Room"
Here is another sign! I think that the signs really add a personal touch to your special day.            (Signs, also a new trend)

Seating was designed by Colin Cowie, this event took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Who says all the Bridesmaid have to wear the same color or style?  I now love the fact that not all bridesmaids dresses are the same color.  I think it is even nice when all the dresses are the same color, just different styles.

The fun times always happen at the Reception!  RIGHT? So this is when you can really add twists to traditions.  So take some of your favorite hobbies and incorporate that into the twist.  If its Golf, add golf balls and tees to centerpieces.  Make up Golf Scorecards for the tables and Golf clubs for the photo booth.  You can think of all kinds of different things.   The couple I decorated for had a wine theme and I used wine glass with corks for the centerpieces and chalk painted Wine bottles and wrote their names on them.  Also used corks for name card holders.

Make your special day a day you will never forget.
